I guess you know who I am by the name of the blog.
I decided to create my own web blog, basically to keep notes of what I see and do in my life. Sounds boring. But I think I have done a lot, so people tell me. I am Australian by birth and now living in America, but before that I spent some time in Canada as well.
The main aspects to my life are my family first, work, research, and fire fighting. Yep, you heard it fire fighting. In a way, fire fighting is like having a second family too.
For work, I am a program manager working at Microsoft in Developer Division on the Visual Studio product. I work in a team called the “VSBizApps Team” and every day is exciting with new challenges. I enjoying working there a lot.
For research I am in my last year of my Doctorate in Information Technology, where my research specializes in ‘Understanding why do people Facebook and keep using it?’
For firefighting, I am a volunteer firefighter. I do everything that a normal firefighter does. This includes EMS calls and of course fighting fires. But there is more to the work than just that, I get to do a lot of other things too. I already knew this as I had been in the Army for a number of years and a fire department after all is a para-military organization.
