Wow, I passed the Microsoft ASP.NET 3.5 exam yesterday. I was really sweating on it. But when I got to doing it, it was not that bad at all. The questions were really easy. Perhaps, too easy. I found myself looking at the code a few times and saying to myself the code looks the same. On closer inspection, I found the only difference was some reference attributes had or did not have the ID referenced.

There were a lot of  questions on using AJAX and luckily for me I just come off a project using it. Also there there were capability questions around different versions of IIS and issues with multiple versions of the .net framework installed and how you would configure the web.config files, etc.

Well, I am now on to Windows Presentation Foundation exam, which is 70-502. I have a project that I think I will use to do this and I might even blog some issues about WPF and not so much about the project.

5/1/2009 – Update to this, I have decided to do the 70-503 which is the WCF exam instead. I will provide some more information after the exam, which is next week.

So you probably has seen the interesting Hulu advertisements. I decided to check it out.

Here was an interesting movie I watched: It is a Japanese animation film called “Origin  – Spirits of the Past”. It is interesting how the Japanese inter twine nature and human beings together to create some sort of balance and in the case of this film, is in balance.

Enjoy.

Well I did the 70-536, and it was not as bad as I thought. If you have been using .NET as long as I have it was just remembering the different was to access class libraries of BCL (Base Class Library). There was a lot of security related questions, so be sure you understand Assert, demand, etc. I had few service questions. I suggest writing a simple service to understand the different events, like start, stop, onstart, etc.

I did get a few COM interrop questions which where pretty easy.

Bottom line read the questions carefully, as some answers are very similar, only on word or part of a word is changed, and it is easy to skim over it and miss it and get the question wrong.

I got 841, the pass was 700. So I think I did okay.

Well, next on to the ASP.Net exam, which is 70-562. Back to studying.

  • On fire shift tonight. Working and studying. #
